Roxy Wells and Tyler Wells
Artist's Statement

Fiber artist and designer, Roxy Wells is a native of Ogden Utah. She is currently residing in Ukiah, California with her husband and design partner Tyler. Previous residences include, Honolulu, San Francisco, Land O Lakes, WI and Avon, CT.

Roxy's lifelong passion for fabric, sewing and garment making was fulfilled when the couple left their professional health care jobs, moved to San Francisco after being in Hawaii for 23 years and started their clothing business as craft show artists.

Since those early beginings, they now exhibit and sell their work nationally. They are closely aligned with the textile program at Mendocino College where Roxy guest lectures and has been an advocate for "art-making" with wearables.

The clothing they create is expertly crafted with subtle design details that are innovative and unique. And, since they are impassioned world travelers, you will find that much of their clothing line is designed to be perfect travel wear.

When not traveling, exhibiting their work or spending time with their daughter and grandson, you will find them in their studio/gallery being the "makers" they were meant to be.
